Christmas in Nebraska

I spent the last week and two days in Nebraska. I was supposed to get home late last night, but due to mechanical issues with the airplane, it was delayed an hour and therefore my mom, sister, and I would miss our connection flight so we stayed in Omaha, Nebraska with my aunt for the night. I had fun in Nebraska, but didn't have as much fun with my mom's side of the family as I usually do mainly because I was missing someone. The whole reason I was so excited about going to Nebraska was because I was going to get my mind off of that person. That totally did not happen at all. Oh well, I still had fun.
I made a snowman in honor of a person and took lots of pictures with the snowman. It was almost as tall as me! I had my sister help me make the snowman because I was not able to make it myself because I had trouble rolling the snow and whatnot and I just wanted her to help. Making the snowman was one of the best parts of the trip. It was kind of a work out. I was tired after making it and being in the cold for almost two hours. My sister and me had multiple mini snowball fights while making the snowman and just the whole time we were there.
I'm somewhat excited for the new year. I'm thinking getting a fresh start in the new year will help a situation I'm dealing with. I'm hoping to have one of my friends sleepover and watch the ball in New York City drop together and celebrate together. My parents haven't told me if I can have my friend come over or not yet. I really hope the answer is yes. My friend's mom gave approval. My parents are going to a party though, but it is right next door so I don't get why my friend can't come over.
