The title of this post pretty much explains itself. Well, it explains itself for the most part except for the big part that is that I went to Las Vegas this past week and oh man, it was awesome! It was so awesome to see the Las Vegas strip and the mimicked Eiffel Tower and Brooklyn Bridge(the fake one was like a quarter of size of the real one and I've walked over the real one). Anyways, I'll go day by day in my week long vacation. Oh yeah, you don't have to read this unless you're really bored or unless you really want to read about my trip to Las Vegas.
The first day, me and my family got up early in the morning to drive to the Jackonsville airport. I fell asleep about a half hour in on the drive to Jacksonville and then woke up a few minutes before we got there. We flew from Jacksonville to Chicago and it was kinda exciting being in Chicago because I've never been there before even though all I really got to see was the airport. Anyways, after being in Chicago for like an hour, we flew to Las Vegas and it looked awesome being in the air(especially since it was getting dark). I knew there were going to be a lot of casinos and whatnot in Las Vegas, but right when we stepped into the airport I see a whole bunch of slot machines(I never imagined that). Later that night, after we got to the hotel(which was all Asian themed), we walked to the Belagio hotel(and it has like a shopping mall and restaurants and whatnot) which was really pretty. From there, we watched the water show which was pretty cool with all the "spouts" of water. I also got my first look at the mimick Eiffel Tower.
The second day, we walked along the shops on the side of the road and we walked to the Venetian(which is another huge hotel with shops and restaurants) and its really pretty! It was fun going in stores looking at clothes that you can't afford really or just more like horribly expensive. There was a lot of cute and different clothes. We also walked around the mimicked Paris, France. That night, we went to a show right at the hotel that we were staying at that was called legends in concert that was a tribute artist show(people imitating elvis presley and jay leno and tina turner and ppl like that). It was ok...it wasnt really my type of show.
The third day, me and my family walked to the mimicked New York, New York. We ate at the ESPN Zone. That place was awesome. Especially the whole wall they had that had like 10 different little TV's and then two huge TV's. After we ate, we walked around the mimcked New York, New York, which wasnt that impressive and then we headed back to our hotel to relax and cool down(it was so hot!) and get ready to go to Mamma Mia! I was so excited to go see this play! It was better than I expected. I got really frustrated though because I got stuck sitting behind this dude who had a huge head(and I mean huge) that didn't bother me that much until he started moving his head like every two seconds(I finally just leaned against my sis).
The fourth day, we had to get up early because we were going on a "tour" of the Grand Canyon. We took a helicopter ride down to a base of the Grand Canyon and ate lunch there and took some photos and walked around. On the way back from the Grand Canyon, my sis and I got to sit in front, next to the pilot and that was so awesome. It was even more awesome though just being in a helicopter because I had never been in one before. Well, it ended up my dad got "disappointed"(really more like mad, he just said he was disappointed) because the people in charge of the tour lied to my dad about where we were taking off from. Anyways, because of that we got a free ride to look at the Las Vegas strip from another helicopter. We got a limo ride back to the hotel. I've never been in a limo before so that was awesome.
The last day my mom and me and my sister went shopping at one of the malls. That was funish. I wasn't in that much of a mood to shop, but once we started shopping more I was in more of a shopping mood and saw cute clothes and jewelry(that once again was expensive). The last night, we saw the blue man group. That was so cool! It was so different and it was funny and just weird(but in a good way). I got a t-shirt. Its awesome. At the end they have like never-ending streams of paper come at you and work the way down to the stage. It didn't help that they strobe lights going on while you're getting drowned in paper pretty much. It was actually pretty fun though in a way getting drowned in huge wads of paper. Your arms couldn't move fast enough it seemed like. Anyways, before we went to the show, we went to a French restaurant. That was awesome especially since I understood the little bits of French on the menu.
Yesterday, when me and my family made our way back home, we got delayed for like 5 hours(that sucked in a way). It gave me enough time to finish Octavian Nothing! I'm so happy that I finally finished that book! Oh yeah, I'm also happy that the last book in the Twilight series came out yesterday and that me and my sister got the book and that my sister read it all day yesterday and finished it on the car ride home and now I've started reading it and hope to be done with it by the end of this week(along with my other summer reading book which I've also started). Anyways, Las Vegas was awesome and this is probably the longest blog post I've ever posted.
